If you are a Firefox user you can enjoy faster web browsing on Mozilla Firefox by tweaking its settings to optimize the internet access speed. Here are some tips on how to increase the speed of Mozilla Firefox which is a highly popular web browser with lots of addons and features.
Open Firefox and in the addres bar write about:config and press enter.
Click on the warning window to proceed and you will have a number of Firefox settings before you.
There is a Filter field above the settings.
1. In filter field write “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” and hit enter. This will find the setting “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” for you. Right-click on this and click on modify. Change value to 18.
2. Similarly find “network.dns.disableIPv6″ setting through filter box and set it’s value to “True”. This will avoid delay due to IPv6 DNS server requests.
3. Now Right-Click on the white space anywhere in the About:config window and click new>integer>Boolean.
This way you can create your own settings for Firefox. In the small window that opens write Name of property as “content.interrupt.parsing” and set value as “True”.
This setting tell the Firefox to interrupt parsing a page to respond to UI events making response faster.
4. Similarly create “nglayout.initialpaint.delay”. Right Click on new>Integer. write Name of property as “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and value=0. This asks Firefox to display whatever data comes and start rendering of webpage immediately without any delay.
