It has always been a painful question for hindi writing people in countries like India and Nepal i.e. ”How to write smoothly and easily in Hindi or Devnagri script in Microsoft Word?” It has been answered finally with Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool !! Read on to find out how..
Till now Hindi and other indian language users have to be dependent on third party tools like SARANSH, LEKHINI and AKSHARA which would not integrate closely with MS-Word or office suite. Or they tend to use Google translation services (Read here how to increase your blog’s traffic by targeting Non-English users) but all that was a little cumbersome to do.
Now Microsoft has released a new Hindi writing tool for writing easily in Hindi or Devnagri script. Its Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool (“ILIT”). As usual Microsoft has done a great job and this free Hindi writing tool works awesomely well. It is available in web-version as well as desktop version. It is available in Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi,Tamil and Telugu.
Web-version is useful to Add Indian language support to your website or blog.
Desktop version can be installed easily to “use the Text Service to type hindi or any text in any application in Microsoft Windows.”
